ODFL Response to Covid-19
Providing our customers with safe and uninterrupted service due to the public health crisis surrounding COVID-19 is a key priority of everyone at OD. We recognize and are thankful for the vital role we play in linking together the supply chain and delivery services for many of our customers that are manufacturing and distributing critically-needed items.
We want you to know that we are concentrating on the health and safety of our employees, customers, and others with whom we interact while conducting our operations. We are following applicable guidance issued by national and state officials as well as public health experts such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are also reinforcing the need to clean and disinfect regularly, as well as the importance of frequent hand-washing and other recommended hygiene practices. In addition, we have continued to encourage the OD Family of employees to become vaccinated (including a financial incentive to do so) and to follow other safety measures to keep themselves and their loved ones healthy and safe.
OD provides a critical service to our country by delivering much needed items during this time. With more than 250 service centers strategically located throughout the United States, we remain well-positioned to help ensure that critical freight gets delivered. We are working around the clock so that we can respond appropriately and effectively to this ever-evolving situation.
Customers
We are following applicable guidance issued by national and state officials as well as public health experts such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We realize that this is a challenging environment for businesses, especially as they respond to spikes in demand or shift manufacturing to new critical goods. OD has the capacity to manage ongoing as well as emerging freight shipping needs. As always, we have the ability to expedite shipments so that they can be delivered next-day, ship on Friday so that they can be delivered on Monday, or meet another tight delivery window. Just contact your local sales representative or our customer service department and we will work with you to find a solution that fits your specific needs.

Employees
Keeping our OD Family of employees safe and healthy is a top concern for us. To help ensure our employees’ well-being while we provide a vital service that keeps critical goods moving, we are following applicable guidance issued by national and state officials as well as public health experts such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). This includes providing hand sanitizer and wipes, reinforcing proper hygiene practices, adding additional sanitized cleanings, and exercising social distancing practices.
We require that any of our employees who are showing symptoms of illness stay at home and contact their doctor. We have enabled telemedicine so that our employees can get vital health advice at no cost. We have asked that employees who have been on cruises or traveled to certain international destinations self-quarantine in accordance with current CDC travel advisories.
During this time, OD provides a critical service to our country by delivering much-needed items. We are working hard to keep you safe so that together we can continue to operate as an essential business, and in turn, so that you can care for your families.
We are so grateful for your hard work and dedication and know that with the OD Family Spirit, we will come out of this stronger than before.
